ANGEL ON MY SHOULDER
There's an angel on my shoulder.
He guides my steps aright.
He's with me in the day time;
He comforts me at night.
There's not a thing that happens
That escapes his watchful sight.
He is my guardian angel.
He makes the dark things bright.
I've an angel on my shoulder.
He, my stress can nullify.
He helps me when I falter.
He hears my weary sigh.
He dries up all my tear drops,
For he sees me when I cry.
He's an angel sent from heaven.
He will always be close by.
I've an angel on my shoulder
Who can lift me from despair.
There is not a single secret
That with him I cannot share.
I am glad my shoulder angel
Is with me everywhere:
He's a little bit of heaven
To remind me of God's care.
I've an angel on my shoulder.
He's an angel of good cheer.
Whenever I'm in trouble,
He whispers in my ear
.
He gives me words of comfort,
Words which melt away my fear.
He is my personal angel.
He stays with me through the year.
